4 Year Old Extension Program
Our Extension Program offers an optional, extended-day experience for families with children enrolled in our 4’s class. Designed for children ready for a longer day one or two days a week, it provides more time to explore, play, and learn! The afternoon includes extra time on the playground, an opportunity for children to practice eating their packed lunch, and engaging activities provided either through free play or a class led by one of our Chelsea community teachers, depending on the session schedule. This is a wonderful way to extend your child's preschool experience in a fun, supportive environment.
Extension Program Enrollment Options
The Extension Program runs in two separate segments:
Segment 1: September – December
Segment 2: January – April
Within each segment, families can choose to enroll on specific days:
Mondays only
Wednesdays only
Both Mondays and Wednesdays
The typical school day concludes at 11:00 am, with the Extension Program running from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm.
Cost Structure
Families pay a Segment rate based on the day(s) they enroll and the school calendar. Details will be provided when enrollment opens in the fall.
For example, if you enroll in Segment 1 - Wednesdays only. The calendar provided at enrollment may show 11 Wednesdays so your enrollment cost would be $275.
Please note: Enrollment is not available à la carte; families commit to their chosen days for the entire segment at the start.
